Ardie Savea, tercera linea de los All Blacks, fue el ganador en los Premios de Rugby de Nueva Zelanda, siendo nombrado Jugador del Año 2019. (Premio Kelvin R Tremain Memorial)
Savea, quien se sometió a una cirugía de rodilla hoy y no pudo asistir a la ceremonia de premiación, fue nombrado el Jugador del Año de Super Rugby, el Jugador del Año All Blacks (nuevo premio), antes de ser coronado como el Jugador Kelvin R Tremain del Premio del año que fue ganado el año pasado por la Black Fern Kendra Cocksedge.
Savea alcanzó un nuevo nivel de juego en 2019, siendo titular en ocho de los diez partidos jugados con los All Blacks, donde mostró fuerza y versatilidad en la tercera linea.
El entrenador de Crusaders, Scott Robertson, ganó su primer Premio al Entrenador Nacional del Año, mientras que los 10 veces campeones ganaron un premio consecutivo al Equipo Nacional del Año.
